Head to the magnificent 1,000 pillar temple, Hanamkonda and then to Warangal Fort to see the ornate ekashila entrance that has become symbolic of the Kakatiyas. Make your way to Palampet to see the Ramappa temple complex. Tirupati is one of the most venerated religious sites in the world, tirupati figures on the must visit list of every Hindu devotee. Seven hills, together called the Seshachala hills, are considered the domain of lord Venkatesware and the temple is one of the richest in the world. Devotees often climb from tirupati, the town to tirumala where the temple actually is.
About 90 km from Visakhapatnam, a route to Araku is the amazing Borra caves. The hills of the Eastern Ghats boast many a natural splendour but the verdant scenes don’t really prepare you for vast caverns of Borra. On the banks of the river gosthani, the ancient caves have enormous stalactite and stalagmite formations. With good lighting, roped paths and railings the caves are safe for visitors.
