Chidiya Tapu is what hundreds of avian species in the Andamans call home. An hour’s drive from Port Blair will take you to this bird island, dotted with isolated beaches that make for a soothing break. Find yourself a nice corner and settle down with books and birdsong. Arrive in the Port Blair and head of Ross Island. Marvel at the relics of erstwhile British summer capital. Keep the evening for the evocative light and sound show at the cellular jail. Next morning be at viper island to see the ruins of a jail that functioned before the cellular jail was built. For a bit of relaxation, head to Corbyn’s Cove beach, and do nothing in particular.
