Catch Flight to Funky Town: Goa

If you are in India tour and you didn’t visit in goa then your tour is incomplete without it. Goa is known for its different lifestyle and culture. Here is coco beach which is more popular for fishes, sand and sea spot. Coco beach is a hidden jewel at the estuary of the Mandovi, just over the headland from Candolim and Sinquerim beaches. The quiet beach is crescent shaped, the sand grey and the water shallow, just ideal for swimming. A little fishing village lies at one end of the beach, where fishermen will gladly take you fishing in the early hours if you can assure them that you can swim or offer to lend a helping hand.

Get a feel of Goa’s verdant hinterland. Cross the river sal into Chinchinim village in south Goa and visit the oyster shell unit just off the main road, where you learn how oyster shell powder is cured to whitewash the churches and houses in Goa. Admire the magnificent village homes in the area and check out Goa’s age old coir industry where mats are woven by hand. Watch a toddy tapper at work as he ferments and distils the world famous cashew and palm feni. Also visit the 16th century cabo de Rama in the Canacona taluk of south Goa.
